In ECCPN (European Cities Cooperation and Partnership Network), a working group exclusively for local authorities, we conduct activities for the transformation of the local authorities in accordance with the EU standards and aim to enhance the participation of the public to the local governance. For that purpose, we guide the municipalities to join City Twining projects. At the same time, we lead the certification processes of “low carbon emission city”, “animal friendly city”, “women friendly city”, “children friendly city”, “barrier-free city” etc., awarded to the municipalities by institutions, associations etc. located in Brussels. We also guide our partners for the access to the EU’s local authority funds and networks. We wish to influence and contribute to the the formulation or implementation of policy and the decision-making processes of the EU institutions on this matter.
